An Otaku's Interests: Disney airing Naruto: Shipuuden on Disney XD

Unexpected, and quite fearful of this development. Vis has given Disney the airing rights to Naruto: Shipuuden. The show will air on Disney XD, effectively Disney for an older audience with more cartoons than the Hanna Montana-flooded Disney Channel.

I and those who have heard this news are all predicting this winds up being an epic fail. Obviously, it's going to be dubbed, but considering Disney's a very kid-oriented network, I'm sensing many edits and botched dub jobs all over. Kinda surprising that Adult Swim didn't get its hands on it; it's about the same content type as Bleach. Then again, Disney is flaunting its cash after purchasing Marvel. Don't get me wrong, I'd love for this to work out; just look at the job they do with Studio Ghibli's stuff. However, considering Disney's track record with anime series (Digimon mainly)...
